chambres d'hotes & gite Domaine de Savigny
Domaine de Savigny in St. Saulge, Nièvre, Burgundy region, is an old manor house that was used for the hunting season. Build in 1860 and still full of authentic details. In the house there are now two charming guestrooms, both with double bed and private bathroom. Downstairs there is a large living/dining room especially for guests. Around the house there is a parc of 2 ha, with many old trees and great views over the countryside.
Breakfast is served in the large living/dining room or outside when possible. Enjoy the fresh bread, fruit juice, ham, cheese, home made jams, brie, coffee and tea.
Also diner (table d'hotes) is possible. Your host will prepare a lovely meal (starter, main, cheese and desert) for you, using the regional products. Of course this all comes with a nice glass of wine.
There are many things to do and visit in the Burgundy region. If you want to be active you can go for walks, rent a bike and check out the mountainbikre trails (550 km directly around), rafting, sailing, surfing or swimming on one of the many lakes.
Places of interest nearby: Nevers, Vezelay, Sancerre, parc Morvan, La Charite sur Loire, Avallon, Moulins, Autun, musee Bibracte, Guedelon, Apremont sur Allier and many more little villages that you will find on the way.
But also if you want to relax and stay 'home', the guestrooms, the living room and the parc around offer every possibility to sit back and enjoy the day.
We hope to welcome you in our chambres d'hotes Domaine de Savigny!
