Manoir Montdidier
Manoir Montdidier is an 18th century manor house set among 9 acres of gardens and park near the medieval village of Cluny and the Beaujolais and Macônnais vineyards in southern Burgundy. Enjoy spectacular views of the gardens and nearby village and countryside.
The Manoir offers luxurious guest rooms and suites in an historic home furnished with period antiques and modern comforts. The Manoir features an extensive formal library with its “cabinet de curiosités”, several fireplaces and small salons where you can read or listen to music.
Each morning a hearty breakfast awaits each guest served on the terrace in summer or next to the warm fireplace in winter. Relax next to our heated swimming pool or unwind with a spa treatment or massage. Our indoor spa is equipped with a jacuzzi (for two) and hammam.
Finish a puzzle, play cards or chess in the game room, choose a novel from our library, play the piano, stroll through the gardens or meditate in the Japanese garden. Visit nearby chateaux, wineries, Roman churches or prehistoric caves.
Take a hike with our miniature donkeys through the hilly countryside. When you return, choose a bottle of wine from our cellar or enjoy delicious delicacies during “high tea.” Finish the evening with a four-course semi-gastronomic dinner in the warm company of other guests and hosts.
We prepare dishes typical of the region with many organic ingredients often from our own garden. Manoir Montdidier is the perfect place to host your special events and small wedding celebrations.
We offer many special packages and theme weekends throughout the year.
For longer stays, consider renting our guesthouse with a veranda that steps out to the pool and is adjoined to the Manoir by a beautiful interior garden courtyard.
Manoir Montdidier is only 90 minutes from Geneva and 50 minutes from Lyon and a nice stopover for those travelling to the south of France (although you may never want to leave).
