Luxury holiday accommodation in the South of France

Bonnes Saisons is a newly converted chambres d'hotes set in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region of France There are three luxurious en suite bedrooms; two double rooms and a family room sleeping up to four people. Each room has its own shower room, a King-size double bed, plenty of storage space and double doors leading to its own private patio with bistro table and chairs.

In summer breakfast is taken on our balcony overlooking the lake and Chateau de Puivert, an historic Cathar castle in one direction and the foothills of the Pyrenees in the other. Out of season, breakfast can be taken in our pretty garden room, just off the comfortable guests' sitting room, where you can relax and help yourself to a book or any of our board games. The accommodation is all on one level on the ground floor of our property and is therefore suitable for young and old alike.

The village of Puivert is ideally situated for walking, cycling or spending time at the child friendly lake with man-made beach, restaurant and lifeguard in high season. There are plenty of other activities around the area too, such as kayaking, canoeing or white water rafting on the River Aude, a high ropes course in the neighbouring village of Belesta and winter sports at our local ski resorts of Camurac, Mont D'Olmes, Chioula, Beille, or Ax-Les-Thermes.

For history lovers, we are in the middle of Cathar country and only a short distance from Carcassone and the world famous Old City. The medieval towns of Mirepoix and Foix can also be accessed readily as well as Limoux, famous for its Blanquette, the original 'sparkling' wine. Tax-free shopping in Andorra is another day-trip (don't forget your passport!) and the coastal resorts of Narbonne, Gruissen, Leucate or the beautiful Collioure.

Puivert has four restaurants that open seasonally as well as its own micro-brewery. In summer the village hosts weekly night markets and an annual firework display. Le Chateau de Puivert sits majestically atop the village overlooking the lake and the gliding club that also offers flights and lessons and which we can organise for you. There really is something for everyone here in this corner of France. We look forward to seeing you very soon!
