B&B Art
B&B Art is located in an ancient palace, which was recently restored in San Casciano Val di Pesa. It is conveniently situated in the heart of the Chianti region, within easy reach of the most important tourist sites of Tuscany. It is close to Florence, which is only 15 kilometres away.
The palace was built during the 14th century adjacent to the walls which surround the Medieval city of San Casciano Val di Pesa. It was originally a hospital for the neighbouring Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria del Gesł. For several centuries it accommodated monastery guests and pilgrims. Subsequently it became a popular public guesthouse until the Second World War when it was partially destroyed by bombing. Today the palace houses the elegant and refined B&B Art.
B&B Art takes its name from the precious contemporary art collection housed in the palace. The comfortable double rooms and the suites, each one unique, are distinguished by the typical wood-beam ceilings and by the terracotta tiled floors. Furnished with genuine antiques, all rooms are equipped with en suite private bathroom (with shower or bath), TV, telephone and air conditioning. Upon request a baby bed is also available.
Breakfast, based on fresh local products, is served from 8am until 10am in a beautifully lit room on the first floor.
For those without a car, bus service is available from San Casciano Val di Pesa to Florence, Siena and various other famous tourist sites. The bus stop is a few metres from the B&B Art entrance.
B&B Art is the perfect place to spend your holidays surrounded by nature, history, culture, gastronomy and wine tasting.
B&B Art management will be at your service to help you choose a restaurant or help you with any other you useful information you might need to make your stay at the bed and breakfast an unforgettable one.
