A Chalet styled private residence, situated on the edge of Stropino village nr: Stresa, Lake Maggiore. Beautiful surroundings, with stunning mountain views. We have The Annex, a delightful first floor private suite, with independent access via an outside breakfast balcony and sun terrace. A very comfortable double room with an additional balcony, over looking the sleepy commune of Stropino. With luxury en suite shower room.

The Upper Floor offers a Cosy Rustic Double Suite plus 2 singles in a family room. With luxury bathroom. Exposed beams and integral roof balcony, accessed through patio doors. Magnificent views. The Championship Golf des Iles Borromees is our neighbour only 5 mins away. An Airport collection service is available from Milan's Malpensa, for a small supplement. A journey of approximately 35 minutes.

Whilst the property enjoys a quiet rural location, surrounded by forests and mountains. It still remains a very convenient 5 minutes away from the A26 Auto Strada, exit E62 CARPUGNINO allowing easy access to all the regions major attractions.

The Lake town of Stresa and Lake Maggiore and the Borromeo's Islands, are but a 10 minute drive down quiet lanes, offering panoramic and breathtaking views at every turn. Or amble by foot on the many forest trails. In Stresa you will find the ferry terminal, supporting a regular service to all the lakes major towns and of course the Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori, and Isola Bella. All steeped in a wealth of history.
Old lanes, unexpected views and steep flights of cobblestone steps are the noteworthy traits of this intimate, special place with a clearly medieval imprint. The beautiful islet in the past had illustrious guests such as Arturo Toscannini and composer IIdebrando Pizzetti.

Of all of Lake Maggiore's islands, the most charming and peaceful is Isola Madre, about which Gustave Flaubert wrote, 'Garden of Eden. It is the most sensual place of the gulf I have seen. It's nature charms us with a thousand enticements' And when landing at the pier with a boat, you immediately sense its intense, absorbed and silent atmosphere, and the fragrances of the flowers in which it is enveloped.

By contrast and only a ten-minute drive you have Lake Mergozzo. Here people can do the main water sports, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. The mushroom filled woods surrounding the lake offer destinations for numerous walks. The whole region is a walkers paradise.

For example, wide panoramic views of the Alps, lake Maggiore and the Po plain can be enjoyed towards Alpe Vercio, Alpe Ompio or Montorfano.

To the north and a short 30-minute drive, bring you to the Ossola Valley, and the Val Grande National Park, to the east. The 7 municipalities of Val Vigezzo.

The list is endless, opposite our residence, is Motterone, famous for its skiing, and in the spring the famous Alpine Gardens. The drive over it's summit of 1492 mts provides stunning views, and driving down the other side brings you to Lake Orta and the Island of San Giulio .. The whole experience is captivating, I have spent a lifetimes travelling all over the world, but never have I seen such a concentration of beauty and variety, and all just so accessible. We are indeed blessed to be able to call this place home. It gives us great pleasure in sharing this experience with our many visitors, some who return year after year, captured by it's magic spell....
