B&B La Girandola

A few years ago Isabelle and Erik (Belgian/Dutch couple) realized their dream. They bought an old farmhouse in Italy and restored it themselves. This farmhouse, restored with love for the characteristic details, offers you an unforgettable relaxed and peaceful stay. The kindness and courtesy of the people of the area will be yet another highlight of your vacation. La Girandola is situated in the middle of the Marche, also called Italy's best kept secret. Taking walks in the green area, swimming in the Adriatic Sea, go on a mountain-bike excursion, visit the cities of Art in the neighbourhood,.... you won't be bored. Maybe you prefer il dolce far niente?

Our hammocks and lounge-chairs invite you for a peaceful and relaxed siesta. A refreshment can be taken in our pool, while you're enjoying the stunning view on the hills and the mountain Monte san vicino.

We have 3 guestrooms, surrounded by a garden (0,5 ha.) and a pool. A common room with fridge offers our B&B guests the possibility to prepare their own picnic.

The word la Girandola means the weathervane, at the entrance of our B&B and self-catering apartment. Our guests come all over the places, just as our vane is turning around.

Beach:
Those who enjoy the sea, will be glad to have it nearby. After half an hour driving, you'll walk on the beach of Senigallia or take a swim in the Adriatic near the reserve of the Monte Conero. Nearby (15min), the lake of Cingoli offers you swimming facilities and water fans will also appreciate the Aquapark Eldorado in Apiro.

Mountains:
Close to us you will find the Monte San Vicino (1500m), a splendid place to take a walk. If you like it higher, we recommend you the Monti Sibillini, with tops of 2500m. In winter, this is also a beautiful winter-sports area.

Culture:
The region the Marche has a wide variety of cultural cities; Urbino home town of the renaissance, Jesi native city of Frederik II, Tolentino with its marvellous frescos of saint Nikolas of Tolentino,... Not to mention the musea, like the paper and filigranmuseum of Fabriano, the winelabel museum of Cupra Montana, the national archeological museum of Ancona,...

Nature:
The caves of Frasassi belong to the natural highlights of the region.
Besides, the Marches have a lot of reserves, amongst the Monte Conero, the Monti Sibillini and the Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi.
