Lellux Guest House
A traditional Gozitan farmhouse, Lellux Guest House has been lovingly converted to provide modern day comfort in a property that celebrates the charm of days gone by.
Named after the Crown Daisy, or ‘Chrysanthemum Coronarium’ that grows on the island, Lellux is a boutique home away from home in which to relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of one of the Maltese archipelago’s best kept secrets.
Your convivial host at Lellux is Dennis Wiltshire. Dennis fell in love with Gozo when he first visited the island 40 years ago. Enthralled by the island’s charm he has maintained close ties with Gozo ever since, most recently working at St Andrew’s Cove Divers in Xlendi for the past five years.
Dennis is delighted to be back at the helm of Lellux Guest House, a property he previously managed, after a spell of four seasons managing luxury chalets in the French Alps.
Combining more than a decade in the hospitality industry with 40 years experience of Gozo, Dennis is a host with a wealth of local knowledge. Lellux guests who are divers are in expert hands with Dennis who is a BSAC diver and PADI Divemaster.
A large guesthouse situated in the middle of the popular village of Qala on the eastern end of the island, Lellux is just a short distance from the Mgarr ferry terminal.
The village’s centrepiece is its church, close to which there is a tempting range of bustling restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of Lellux. Nearby is the island’s best bathing spot, the secluded, sandy bay of Hondoq ir-Rummien from which the tiny island of Comino beckons. For those who wish to explore the coast from the water boat trips along the coast, and to Comino, depart from Hondoq ir-Rummien. Those who prefer to stay on dry land can enjoy walks with great views over a startlingly beautiful rocky coastline. Gozo also has an excellent bus service, or why not hire a bicycle or a car and explore the island at your own pace?
Well serviced by low cost flights from all over Europe, including Ryan Air and Easyjet, Malta and Gozo have never been easier to get to. Gozo’s superb climate, friendly atmosphere and ease of access make it a perfect destination for long and short break holidays.
