Pure B&B in beautifull green environment

Swolgen is a village with 1200 inhabitants, close to the river Maas. Our B&B's name in English means 'pure living', it has 3 bedrooms, 1 single, one double and one family room, which can provide room for 3-4 people. We have a large living with a cosy fireplace. Separate bathroom, and outside in our garden a beautiful terrace with fireplace as well. Wireless internet is available for free.

A nice little restaurant is situated just 300 meters away from us, BRaM. The chef is an excellent cook who always has local specialties on his menu.

The area has a lot to offer for those who enjoy the southern part of the Netherlands. Almost 80% of all roses sold in the Netherlands come from a village nearby (Lottum). Horst, is known for it mushrooms, and you can visit the mushroom-growers. Another delicate subject are our strawberries.

Closeby is Arcen, a well-known village which was founded by the Romans because of its Thermal sources. Also in Arcen you can find the brewery of our beer, Hertog Jan (Duke John), which you can visit.

The area is ideal for those who enjoy walking/hiking, Swolgen is a stop on the so called 'Pieterpad' route, a route which starts up north near a town called Pieterburen, and goes all the way down to the south of Netherlands, the famous Sint Pietersberg, the only dutch 'mountain'. We are located within 10 minutes walking of the Swolgender Heide, a protected forest where one can relax and enjoy silence.

Horseback riding is another very popular activity. Around Swolgen one can find some of the finest horse-riding centres. Lastly, the area is ideal for both mountain biking and normal biking. Many marked routes can be taken. More details can be found on our website.
