B&B Jordaan, B&B in the heart of Amsterdam
The Jordaan is a dense patch of small-scale streets and canals in the heart of Amsterdam. It is peppered with interesting shops, galleries, charming 'hofjes' and inviting brown cafes. Quirky and characterful, with an intimate, easy-going atmosphere of it's own. It was built for workers at the same time when the 'Grachtengordel' (Canal-rings) were completed.
We offer three: comfortable rooms in a traditional split-level building. There is no need to climb a lot of stairs because all our rooms are on the ground level or first floor. Every room is recently renovated when each received a new, private and en-suite bathroom. All rooms have a dining-table for 2 or 4p, private coffee & tea facilities and free access to our WiFi-network (but do bring your own hardware).
We offer a Dutch Breakfast with local breads, cheeses, sausages (cold-cuts), jams, orange-juice etc. which will be served in the privacy of your room. If you prefer cereals or a vegetarian breakfast please mention this in your reservation request.
While serving breakfast I always have plenty of time to answer your questions or, on request, suggest things to do or places to eat. Also on any other hour of the day you are welcome to contact us. Our B&B rooms are on the lower levels of our family-home so also an early or very late arrival or departure is never a problem.
Our family consists of my husband Paul, our 2 young kids and me Charlotte. We run the B&B entirely without outside help so you always know whom to address and we know for sure that everything is as clean and complete as you may expect it to be.
We try to offer a good balance between privacy, attention and help. We do speak several languages (English, French, German, Dutch and a little Portuguese) and know our city well. We are looking forward to share our knowledge with you.
