Bed & Breakfast Groenewege

Dirksland, the ' petit Paris ' of Goeree-Overflakkee, is the basis to (re-) discover the island Goeree-Overflakkee. Located near the coast, on the outskirts of the village and between the meadows our B&B offers you various possibilities for rest and relaxation.

Picturesque villages, interesting cities, nature reserves and beautiful beaches are easy to reach. From our B&B you easily cycle to nature areas such as the “Slikken”, the “Kwade Hoek” and “Quakjeswater” or you can go along the twelve mills on the island. A network of cycle routes of in total 425 kilometres crosses the island. Against a small fee there are some bikes available.

To explore the countryside, you can also make shorter or longer hiking trips by car to specific attractions in the area. In addition, our B&B offers thanks to the spacious rooms, the presence of a large living room and a large garden also the possibility to stay home, read a book, watch a movie or listen to music.

If you like to visit villages or towns than go to Middelharnis, Ouddorp, Goedereede and Hellevoetsluis in the immediate vicinity. Places like Rotterdam, Breda, Bergen op Zoom and Antwerp are within an hours driving distance, just like Zierikzee, Goes, Vlissingen and Middelburg.

On and near the island are numerous (day-) activities. Besides walking and cycling you can visit wide beaches with beach bars or the quiet beaches of Lake Grevelingen. In addition, there are opportunities, inter alia, sailing, horse riding, surfing, kite surfing, swimming, diving, or shopping. You can also make a covered wagon ride, eat in one of picturesque small restaurants or hire a scooter at the tourist office.
