This unique 300-year-old ‘cortijo’ (farmhouse), set in 20,000m² of almond groves, was once owned by the famous bullfighter Pedro Barrera Elbal. Lovingly renovated, the property offers four luxury suites, lounge, dining room and library. The hotel is located just on the edge of the Sierra Espuna National Park near the Murcian vineyards of Jumilla, Yechlar and Bullas and the historic city of Lorca. It is also some forty minutes from the beach, and just two hours from Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Caravaca de la Cruz is recognised as the fifth holiest city in Christendom and is the holder of the VERA CRUZ, the true cross. A place for pilgrimage for many Christians from around the world.

Directions

From Murcia (San Javier) Airport take A30 to Murcia or from Alicante Airport take E15/A7 to Murica. Join C415/RM15 direction Mula/Caravaca de la Cruz. Continue onto the C330/RM730 (signposted Barranda Huesca/Andalusia. At the Passing Caravaca take the long hill, there are two Repsol petrol stations at the top, turn left (signposted LORCA) and continue for 4.4 km passing through Los Prados and Pinilla. As you leave Pinilla take the 1st left turn (approx 300m) and continue for 1 km. At the T- junction turn right and continue for 800m. Casa Pedro Barrera is located on your left hand side.
