The Half Door B&B is situated in a quiet lane in the heart village of Doolin seconds walk from pubs which have great Irish music sessions every night during the summer and a varied selection of restaurants.
We have twin, double and a family rooms all ensuite. The family room is a double and twin both ensuite with an interconnecting door so there can be as much access or privacy as parents desire.
The showers are pressure pumped and have a preset temperature which helps prevent scalding and is good for the environment. There is a lovely sun room with doors opening onto a garden for guests to relax in.
There are wood blinds on all the windows so it can be as hot or as cool as the guests like. There is also a TV and dvd player with a selection of dvd's for guests to enjoy. Formerly the highly recommended restaurant the 'Lazy Lobster' we carry that same passion for food through to our breakfasts.
We offer an extensive menu with home baking and special dietary requirements catered for. A sample of our menu as well as the usual 'full Irish fry' is American style pancakes with maple syrup and a choice of bacon or fresh fruit salad and yoghurt.
Grilled Kippers with Poached egg, Spinach and Goats cheese omelette or bacon and Dubliner cheese omelette. There is also a buffet bar with a choice of juices, cereals, fresh fruit salad, natural yoghurt, poached prunes, freshly baked scones, home made brown bread (a huge hit in the lazy lobster) There is also ample safe car parking.
It is the perfect base to explore the burren, take a trip to the Aran islands, spend a day at the majestic cliffs of moher, go surfing at the beautiful beaches of Lahinch or Fanore, visit the underground experience of Doolin cave or Ailwee cave, play a round of golf at the world class course in Lahinch or pitch and putt in the picturesque course in Doolin and much more.
