The Anchor House Dublin is regarded as one of Dublin’s most charming City Centre guesthouses. This former 1790's home is located within a few minutes walk of Dublin’s popular tourist attractions. All bedrooms have private bathroom with shower.

The Anchor House Dublin is perfectly situated in the city centre, 200 metres from The Central Bus Station (Busaras) & the red line luas stop (tram) at the rear of Gandon’s Custom House. We are only a few minutes walk to O’Connell Street.

Trinity College, The O2, the Grand Canal Theatre, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, Henry Street, Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College, Collin's Barracks, Dublin Castle, & The Grand Canal Theatre, are all easily reached on foot.

Our 2012 Breakfast Menu is as follows: Orange Juice, Cornflakes, or Meusli, or Fruit & Fibre, followed by a Traditional breakfast of grilled Bacon, Sausage, beans & egg. All are served with freshly brewed Coffee, Tea, Herbal Tea, or Hot Chocolate, with white & brown Toast.

You will not need a car while you are staying with us as we are very centrally located. If you wish to hire a car for your onward journey, arrange the pick up from a city centre location on the morning of your departure. Car Hire establishments are also situated nearby within easy walking distance.

The Dublin Bus Airlink No. 747 Bus Service operates daily to & from Dublin Airport & Busaras the Central Bus Station from 07.00 until 22.00 approx. It is a dedicated Express Bus service, with 2 stops only. The Airlink 747 Busses are frequent, every 10 to 20 minutes. Get off the No.747 bus upon arrival at Busaras, which is its second stop. The Anchor Guesthouse is now a 190 metre walk. Adult fare is €6.50 approx. Child fare is €3.25 approx.

Dublin Bus No. 41 also operates a Commuter Bus Service daily from Dublin Airport to its last stop on Lower Abbey Street, from 06.30 until 23.00 approx. The No.41 Busses operate every 20 - 30 minutes. Get off the No.41 Bus only when it arrives at the very last stop. The Anchor Guesthouse is now a 195 metre walk. Adult fare is €2.60 approx. This service is not ideal, if large or heavy baggage must be carried.
