Built to 4 * * * * specifications. Clifdens newest guesthouse is a family run, non-smoking home. It has been constructed to exceptionally high standards including full fire specifications complete with a fire certificate. We are only 1km from Clifden town. Ground floor rooms are available and a lift is available to take you to the upper floor should you choose not to use our sweeping central staircase.

We have a magnificent gallery landing which gives superb views of the entrance hall. Every room in the house has free Wifi so whether you are on holiday or on business you can still keep in touch those important to you. The bedrooms are large and luxurious with king size beds, LCD satellite TV, radio, DD phone, tea / coffee hospitality tray and hair dryer.

The spacious en-suite bathrooms have power showers and many have separate shower and bath. They also have complimentary toiletries and fluffy white towels.

We have plenty of safe off road parking and have room for your horsebox at the rear. We are practically opposite the Connemara Pony Sales. Leave your vehicle here safely all day whilst deciding whether to buy or sell or just look. The Connemara Pony Show Day is the third Thursday in August every year and it is the centre of the busiest week of the year in Clifden with visitors from all over the world. It is a must to try to visit for the exciting Show Day - if only once but I am sure you will be hooked and will want to return again and again.

There is also secure locked parking for cycles and wet weather clothing at our home.

Most importantly our premises are protected with CCTV.

We are a perfect base to enjoy the rugged beauty of Connemara, which has plenty to entertain you including our town of Clifden. We are close to the Connemara National Park. It is only a short drive to Connemara's 27 hole golf links, horse riding, trekking, fishing and hill walking. We have some white sandy beaches close by.

A visit to the magnificent Kylemore Abbey and their wonderful walled Victorian garden is a must whilst you are in Clifden.

Brigit's Garden near Oughterard is a journey into the heart of Celtic mythology, folklore and heritage. Set within 11 acres of native woodland and wildflower meadows. The four beautiful gardens are themed on the Celtic seasonal festivals.

At Dan O'Hara's Homestead, the Connemara history and heritage centre provides an insight into this wild and lyrical land.

From the middle to end of September each year Clifden has its famous Arts Festival which has been in existence for more than a quarter of a century. A large mix of performers make their way to Clifden for the festival, singers, dancers, authors and many more. It is well worth a visit.

Ballinasloe is host to the famous Horse Fair in October, one of the most ancient gatherings in County Galway.

Experience the great outdoors at Killary Adventure Co. in Leenane. Activites suitable from complete beginners to experienced, from age 8 to 80.

The Killary is Irelands only fjord. Killary Cruises have 4 cruises daily in their all weather luxury cruise ship. Its magic will be the high point of any rainy day in Connemara. See working salmon and mussel farms on your trip. BBQ cruises are available during July and August.

Aasleagh Falls in Leenane in Leenane is also spectacular.

Between Leenane and Clifden you pass through the village of Letterfrack which is home to the world renowned Furniture College a couple of pubs and also the Avoca craft shop which should not be missed.

You arrive in Clifden with its many wonderful pubs and restaurants to suit everyones taste and pocket.

In the courtyard surrounding the Station House Hotel on the Galway Road a few minutes walk away tthere is a newly opened multi prupose venue, comprising of a theatre, music venue and cinema. In this location there is also a wonderful selection of speciality shops to interest all us shoppers. The complex is also home to Clifdens Museum.
