Desota House Bed and Breakfast is perfectly located, a scenic 5 minute walk from the centre of Galway City. All our rooms are ensuite and you can expect a comfortable stay in our newly renovated property. We are located within 5 minutes walk from National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) and University College Hospital Galway (UCHG).
We have an off street private car park and our house is equipped with free wireless internet and for those travelling without a laptop we have a computer and printer free to access for all our guests. Breakfast is served daily in our dining room and consists of both a continental breakfast buffet and a full cooked menu. Vegetarian cooked breakfasts are also available.
Desota House is an ideal base from which to enjoy the Capital of the West of Ireland and its beautiful surroundings. Staying here you will be in a perfect central location, with no need to waste money on taxis or buses.
Galway City has something to offer everyone, young or old. The City is packed full of lively pubs and high quality restaurants. Irish traditional music is performed nightly in many intimate venues nearby. There are many historic sites in the City and the newly renovated museum is also a popular attraction. As the largest City in the West of Ireland, Galway also has a wide of shops range to cater for all needs. However just walking around the City itself and admiring its beautiful setting & sites is a great way to spend a day. For more adventurous types there are many options such as hill walking in Connemara, kayaking the Corrib River or Windsurfing in Galway Bay.
If visiting during the festival season you have many great events to choose from including the Galway Arts Festival, Galway Races, Film Fleadh, Oyster Festival and Cuirt Festival
