homely atmosphere and the uniquely personal attention I make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Breakfasts can be served early and late. I cater for special dietary needs also.
Situated just 1 Km from the town centre on the Westport/Castlebar road (60). A daily train to and from Dublin and Westport – if needed we can collect guests from train station.
Armcashel is a popular and an ideal base for touring the west of Ireland, golf, lake and river fishing. Boat hire can be arranged including a packed lunch to help you through the day. Golf course is only a 3 minute walk from my entrance--footpath provided.
Walkers and Joggers love to rise before breakfast and take advantage of the footpath and streetlights all the way into town where they can walk and jog by the river Suck. Day trips are often made to the wild and rugged west coast taking in Westport and Connemara.
Visiting Galway city on their return. For those who wish to trace their roots Roscommon Heritage and Genealogy Centre and Famine museum are only a 35 minute drive away.
Cruchan Ai visitor Centre is another place where you can visit the Celtic Royal sites near Tulsk. Other sites to visit - King House Interpretive Centre, Lough Key Forest Park. Arigna Mining Experience is a must. County Roscommon gave Ireland it's first President the poet and Gaelic scholar Dr. Douglas Hyde. Douglas Hyde Interpretive Centre located near Frenchpark.
