Eskview Farm B&B
A warm welcome in a new cottage built in 2000. Inside has been sympathetically fitted with reclaimed materials making for a homely atmosphere. Set in peaceful countryside with wonderful views close to Montrose Basin Nature Reserve, and within walking distance of the beach.
All rooms en-suite and comfortably furnished with TVs and hospitality trays. Evening meals are available - good home cooking with strong emphasis on use of fresh produce including free range eggs. Ideally located for fishing, golf, cycling, walking and horse riding. Only 30 miles from Aberdeen and Dundee. Private parking.
The Royal Burgh of Montrose is the northern-most coastal town in Angus. Located around a natural harbour, it continues its strong affinity with the sea as a source of support services for Scotland's North Sea oil industry.
It has much to explore, with its internationally important wildlife sanctuary at the Montrose Basin Wildlife centre, aviation history at Montrose Air Station Museum - the first operational air station in Britain - the beautiful 18th century House of Dun, which contains mementoes of family life at the time, and spectacular, award-winning, unspoiled sands at St Cyrus and Lunan Bay.
Welcome to our website. Let me introduce you to the members of my family, starting with me Kath, my husband Garry and our son Ryan who was born August 2005.
Garry and I have been together for 25 years now and during the past 13years have been involved with owning and showing Great Danes. We decided in 2000 to begin looking for somewhere with land for our dogs, which lead us to this beautiful part of Scotland's East Coast. We re-located from North East England to Montrose where we found and fell in love with Eskview Farm.
Situated on the St Cyrus Nature Reserve, within a 7 acre plot, just a mile away from the sea and 3 miles from Montrose Centre. Initially, we hadn't decided if we wanted to do B&B, however with not knowing anyone, it was a good way of meeting interesting people from all over the world.
The views that surround the house took our breath away and walking the dogs on the beach we wanted to fully appreciate the area. Being interested in horses as a child we decided to purchase a couple of horses of our own. These include Arent, a Friesian stallion and Henry an Irish Draught x Welsh Section D. Our other animals include 2 Great Dane Harlequins, Harvey and Harry, 2 geese, 2 ducks and a variety of free range chickens. We are also home to other wildlife including deer, rabbits, foxes and birds of prey. On the whole we are a relatively happy family.
We look forward to meeting new guests in the future years and making your stay as enjoyable as possible while you’re with us.
