Our house is your house (by the sea)…
Tigh na Mara (Gaelic for ‘House by the sea’) is a friendly, family run guesthouse on the Hebridean Isle of Coll, off the west coast of Scotland.

We are located in Arinagour Bay, where panoramic views of the neighbouring islands of Mull, Staffa and The Treshnish Isles form the backdrop to an ever-changing display of seabirds, seals and the occasional otter. One of our guests proclaimed that Tigh na Mara was one of the best hides he had ever experienced, such was the abundance of rare birds and sealife he witnessed while eating his breakfast.

Recently refurbished for the 2012 season, Tigh na Mara has seven bedrooms available for B&B and ‘The Wee House by The Sea’ for Self Catering Accommodation. Sitting in beautiful gardens which overlook the harbour, Tigh na Mara is the ideal base from which to explore this idyllic island.

We like to think that we offer more than just B&B... Free WIFI, films and games for rainy days, homebaking on arrival to name but a few wee extras.

And please let us know if you’re celebrating something special during your stay, we won’t go that extra mile as we do that for all our guests, but we will ensure that your time at Tigh na Mara is one to remember.

The Isle of Coll is not just a summer destination... In recent years we have welcomed visitors in the cooler months who want to enjoy the rugged landscape on a blustery day or gaze at the stars on a clear winter's night. Whatever your reason for visiting Coll, Tigh na Mara is open all year round.
