Based in beautiful and stunning Galloway countryside, Kirkhill Guest House is nestled between the shores of Loch Ken and the tiny, historic hamlet of Crossmichael, which is, located only three miles from the market town of Castle Douglas also known as the 'Food Town'.
Visitors to Kirkhill Guest House will be able to enjoy excellent bed and breakfast accommodation with a twist. At Kirkhill we have ensuite bedrooms with television, tea and coffee facilities and Internet access. In addition we have on-site massage and spa therapy treatments especially good if you have had a hard day cycling, walking, fishing, shopping or just sight seeing.
We also have an off-road car park and extensive under cover outbuildings for secure storage for bicycles, canoes and any other equipment our guests may need stored. We are also happy to offer a transport service were we will move your luggage on to you next stopover.
At Kirkhill we are handy for the Southern Upland Way and close to the osprey nests at Threave Castle Estate.
The area is also the host for many events such as the Wickerman Festival, the Eden Festival, numerous arts and craft events, musical activities, Walking Festivals and a wide range of sporting activities including wind sailing, boarding, water ski-ing, canoeing, and in September this year the first charity Triathalon will take place in Crossmichael attracting both individuals and teams.
