Glenotter Bed & Breakfast
Glenotter Bed and Breakfast is situated in the quiet residential West End of Stranraer on the A178 with private car parking and colourful gardens. A distinctive art deco property it has received a 4 Star Bed and Breakfast rating by Visit Scotland.
The tastefully decorated and well-equipped bedrooms are all en suite and you can enjoy a choice of breakfast at your own table in the breakfast room which overlooks the front garden.
We would like you to have a relaxing and unrestricted break and provide you with your own keys in order that you may return to your room when you wish.
Glenotter is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful and unspoilt South West of Scotland with its many and varied attractions and also for the Stena and P&O Ferries to Northern Ireland. Just under 1 mile from the Town allows for a pleasant walk along the side of the Loch, or if driving there are plenty of areas to park your vehicle.
Although we do not provide evening meals we can advise on a number of eating-places for you to try. The area is ideal for walking, fishing, sailing and has numerous golf courses and stunning gardens including Logan Botanical Gardens. Numerous small bays some with picnic tables can be found and visits to Port Patrick and Port Logan are to be recommended.
Also within a 45 min. drive there is the Galloway Forest with its various wild life (also this area was the first dark sky area in the U.K. ideal for star gazing!), The Book Town of Scotland Wigtown, the magnificent Culzean Castle with all its history and of course the most southerly point of Scotland at the Mull of Galloway with its Lighthouse.
These are some of the varied activities available, and we look forward to welcoming you to Glenotter to enjoy exploring a largely undiscovered part of Scotland.
