Baytree B&B & self catering accommodation
Geraldine and Joe bid you are warm welcome to their award winning guest house and self-catering garden studio apartment.
The house is situated on the historic High Street just along from the Tolbooth Art Centre and a short walk to MacLellan's Castle, Kirkcudbright Marina and Harbour and the Stewarty Museum. There are plenty of good quality restaurants and pubs as well as tea rooms and coffee shops locally and all the shops are independent. Although the house is centrally located the High Street is no longer the main thoroughfare and so is relatively quiet.
There are some beautiful walks and plenty of wildlife nearby being so close to beaches, woodlands, rivers, lochs and hills. There is also plenty of fishing and Golf as well as outdoor activities such as horse riding, kayaking, canoeing, archery, sailing, shooting and of course, cycling and mountain biking. One could never be bored in Kirkcudbright!
All rooms are ensuite with flat-screen TV/DVD player, Tea/coffee facilities, ironing facilities, bedroom slippers, toiletries, fresh towels and welcome sherry.
The guest drawing room is a wonderful place to relax after a hard day's sightseeing and has plenty of books, magazines, DVD's maps, visitor info to browse; a huge TV and glasses should you like to bring along a bottle of wine to enjoy in this elegant and historic room.
The dining room is bright and spacious with individual tables overlooking the pretty walled garden.
A range of breakfasts are on offer from a full Scottish to smoked haddock and poached eggs or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. All our food is locally sourced where possible and of the highest quality available.
