Balmuirfield House is also ideally situated for Touring Scotland with all of the major cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen within a short drive.
From Dundee road and transport links are good, so whether it's driving through Scotland’s wonderful countryside, climbing majestic mountains in the glens of Angus, exploring ancient castles, such as Glamis Castle, or hunting for whisky or antiques, Balmuirfield House bed and breakfast is the perfect location for your visit to Scotland. On day trips you could discover the beautiful beaches and traditional fishing villages of Scotland’s east coast. Why not enjoy a trip north to Forfar, Kirriemuir, (birth place of Sir J M Barrie, author of Peter Pan) or travel up the coast to Arbroath an ancient port now famous for its ‘Arboarth Smokie’ and Arbroath Abbey.

Guests can relax in the sitting room, sinking into the comfortable leather sofas and warm themselves by the real log fire. An abundance of books are available for guests to peruse.
Breakfast is served in the grand dining room. With it’s wood panelling and stained glass windows you’ll feel like lord or lady of the manor as you feast in this glorious room.
Breakfast is served between 7am till 9am. For those early risers a continental breakfast can easily be arranged.
Our Aga cooked breakfasts are the best way to start your day. We use as much locally produced ingredients as we can find, so if you fancy a traditional Scottish breakfast then look no further.
Fresh coffee, speciality teas and a varied range of cereals and fresh fruit are all available. If you have special dietary requirements, then let us know and we’ll do our best to provide just what you want.
