A tranquil countryside retreat, Bankhead offers spacious and comfortable accommodation with glorious, panoramic views over the Firth of Forth to the Bass Rock in the east, and to Edinburgh to the west. A family home, our 19th century house is a delightful combination of old and new: original architectural features blended with contemporary luxury and comfort.

Two spacious and comfortable guestrooms with modern ensuite facilities are complemented by stunning panoramic views over open countryside to the Firth of Forth.

Enjoy the surroundings, sit or have a stroll in the garden and generally relax in the quiet surroundings. Your choice of breakfast will be served between 8 and 9 am in the dining room looking out over the garden and the Forth. We pride ourselves on giving personal service and are able to advise you on the best restaurants and sights and attractions in the area.

Bankheads rural location, though only a short distance from Leven, the gateway to the East Neuk of Fife, enables you to easily reach popular tourist destinations like St Andrews as well as nearby sandy beaches .

We are ideally suited for people wanting to play golf with some of the best golf courses in very close proximity. There are four courses within 10 minutes including Leven Links and Lundin Links golf courses. There is also a driving range to do some practising at about 10-15 minutes drive.

If you want to visit Edinburgh why not stay with us and take a train ride from Markinch station (15 min) right into the centre of Edinburgh. This way you have no problem parking and the journey itself over the Forth Bridge is a delight in itself.
