Gairloch View is situated on the North East Coast of Skye in the Trotternish Peninsula with magnificent sea & mountain views across the water to Gairloch and the Torridon Mountain Range and nestling below the famous Quiraing Mountain.
Watch the sunrise or moonrise across the water or the sunset over the Western Isles best seen from Duntulm 15 mins away.. If you are lucky you can also see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) on a clear starry night. There are four restaurants nearby and a little tearoom opposite our B & B.
There are 2 well stocked mini markets and a small petrol station in Staffin..
Gairloch View is an ideal spot for touring the Island of Skye taking in the Old Man of Storr The Kilt RockThe Fairy Glen The Museums of Island Life Dunvegan Castle Talisker Distillery The Fairy Pools & Neist Point to name but a few of the many attractions.
There are many great walks in this area and its a bird watchers & photographer's paradise, There are many boat trips or full day tours to Uist & Harris in the Western Isles from Uig 8 miles away where you can see sea eagles minke whales dolphins & basking sharks.. Loch or sea fishing available locally, bring your own boat to launch at Staffin Bay to catch mackerel and Pollock or just enjoy a relaxing holiday.
We have been known to help out with outdoor wedding venues, pipers to play on the special day and helped out with transporting wedding guests to the ceremony so whatever you are looking for on your holiday we will do our best to help you and you can be sure of a warm highland welcome at Gairloch View.
