Cuil An Daraich Guest House
Stay with us at Cuil an Daraich in this wonderful historic building dating back to the 1850s.
Situated in the pretty hamlet of Logierait, just a mile from the main A9 road. Logierait has a variety of history from the Inn being on the site of the courthouse, which served justice until 1746 to the Church yard with sketchings from the Picts and a memorial stone to Alexander Mackenzie, a local man and former Prime Minister of Canada.
The guest house itself was once the Poorhouse for the area, since then it has been an old peoples home and a childrens museum before its current role as a guesthouse. Our library has more detailed information for you to read whilst relaxing in the lounge or your bedroom.
Situated on the banks of the River Tay the guest house enjoys views across the valley and countryside. All rooms are en-suite with all the modern facilities you would expect including widescreen TVs and free WiFi.
Our breakfast room looks out over the river, from here you can watch the local wildlife such as rabbits and pheasants in the garden and the weather system coming down the valley, hopefully bringing sunshine!
The breakfast itself is a mixture of continental buffet and a cooked menu including a full Scottish and the famous black pudding!
During the evening make yourself at home in the lounge area which has comfy sofas, family games, a library and an honesty bar.
Pitlochry is just 10 minutes away by car, here many restaurants and various attractions like the theatre and hydro dam can be found.
