Westwood Cottage Bed & Breakfast
Westwood Cottage Bed and Breakfast is a spacious and luxurious home located in a former mill and mining village in the beautiful Girvan valley, boasting year-round mild weather.
Ayrshire is known for golf, being home to three of the world's greatest courses; Turnberry, the site of the 2009 British Open Championship, Prestwick Golf Club, the home of the Open Championship, and Troon, the site of the 2008 Senior British Open. Westwood Cottage is a five-minute walk to Brunston Castle Golf Course and five miles to Turnberry.
In fact, within a 15 mile radius there are 20 golf courses! It is not all about golf though, as cycling, hiking, fishing, sailing, and bird watching are also popular pursuits in the area. Ayrshire is the birthplace of Robert the Bruce, William Wallace, and Scotland's famous poet, Robert Burns, so there are also plenty of historical sights to see.
Each morning, guests of Westwood Cottage Bed and Breakfast enjoy a full Scottish breakfast, freshly prepared with local produce. We will happily cater for any special dietary considerations. Packed lunches and gourmet dinners can also be arranged upon request. Meet and greet service or transportation requirements will be cheerfully accommodated.
Having successfully completed careers in the military and diplomatic services, we have sympathetically restored a Scottish red sandstone villa while adding the modern conveniences expected in the 21st century.
We have travelled the world and understand the importance of quality accommodation in a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. We would now like to ensure the highest level of service for our guests as we welcome visitors to Westwood Cottage Bed and Breakfast as a base for exploring Scotland and Ireland.
