The Rowan Tree

The Rowan Tree offers quality accommodation in relaxed surroundings. Situated in the tranquil village of Sollas which is just fifteen minutes from Lochmaddy ferry terminal.

Each bedroom has a comprehensive hospitality tray, Flat screen TV and DVD. A CD alarm clock and hairdryer. All bedrooms are en-suite with thermostatically controlled radiators.

For a small charge we can provide a laundry service. There is also a drying room and iron and ironing board for guest use.

Alistair and Linda look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful island where things to do include Balranald Nature Reserve, Uist Outdoor Centre, Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Arts Centre. From May to August colourful flowers are in abundance and the birds here are a birdwatchers dream. There are seals and otters and beautiful white beaches.

Situated in the tranquil village of Sollas, only a few minutes from the stunning Vallay strand and fifteen minutes from Lochmaddy ferry terminal, the bed and breakfast provides an excellent base for exploring the Uists whether you are walking, cycling, fishing, birdwatching or island hopping.

We have a ground floor double room, which is suitable for people with reduced mobility.

We have 2 double rooms and 1 twin/king size, all with en-suite facilities. All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, CD clock radio, LCD flat screen television, DVD player and a free broadband wireless connection for those who want to browse the internet, check emails or plan the next part of their journey through the islands.
