The Inn San Francisco

Step back in time into our 1872 mansion. Our San Francisco Bed and Breakfast Inn provides a generous breakfast buffet in the grand double parlors or garden patio. Antiques, fresh flowers, sundeck and hot tub. Telephones, televisions, and parking.

Our nearby Bay Area activities include excellent restaurants, museums, dining, theaters and convenient public transportation.

Originally built on Mansion Row in the early 1870's, this historic twenty-seven room Italianate Victorian San Francisco Bed and Breakfast inn was the home of John English, his wife, and their seven children. A San Francisco City Commissioner, English, dubbed 'The Potato King' for his vast holdings in potato commodities, also raised champion race horses on the surrounding grounds.

Whether you are seeking San Francisco accommodations for a relaxing vacation, some city business or visiting family or friends, our aim is to make your stay with us and the City of San Francisco, a most pleasurable one.

Also has an alcove with a skylight and a deep spa tub. Located at the back of The Inn off the garden so very quiet.

Medium Rooms

42 | Shared Bath
Medium size room (twice the size of the small room) with a queen feather bed, single or double occupancy, satellite TV, refrigerator, clock radio, sharing a bathroom with one other room, bath located just outside the room in the hall. Has a faux fireplace. Note that there is a connecting door to the small room No.42 in case you wish to share with other guests, family style, otherwise the door is locked. The room is at the front of The Inn on the second floor and does have some street traffic noise.

34 | Private Bath, Clawfoot Tub
Medium room, twice the size of the small room, with a queen feather bed, single or double occupancy, local stations TV, refrigerator, clock radio, private bathroom consists of a 'water closet' and a 'claw foot' tub in the room. In the middle of the third floor, off the street, fairly quiet.

Small Rooms

Small, cozy room with a double feather bed, single or double occupancy, satellite TV, refrigerator, clock radio, sharing a bathroom with one other room, bath located just outside the room in the hall. Note that there is a connecting door to a larger room (No.42) that shares that bathroom in case you wish to share with other guests, family style, otherwise the door is locked. The room is at the front of our San Francisco Inn. It is located on the second floor and does have some street traffic noise.

33 | Small Bath in Hall
Small, cozy room with a queen feather bed, single or double occupancy, local stations TV, refrigerator, clock radio, a sink in the room but the bathroom is located in the hall but you do not share it with another room. Located on the third floor just off the front of The Inn, some street noise. Has a sky light and two small windows. We provide robes for using the bathroom in the hall.

12 | Private Bath
Small, cozy room with a double feather bed, single or double occupancy, local stations TV, refrigerator, clock radio, has a private bathroom, located on the first floor of The Inn at the back of the building near the garden, relatively quiet.
