Gulfport is the last of 'old Florida' where you can stroll under lighted trees from restaurants to shops, no parking meters, no chain stores, all mom and pop shops with character. There are always FREE events in town from the First Friday and Third Saturday Art Walks to the Tuesday Fresh Markets to our main festivals. This dog friendly town is puppy paradise with doggie dining, a dog park and a warm welcome. The Key West cottage at the Inn accepts dogs.

Fort Desota, America's No.1 rated Beach in the continental US is just a short drive away.

World Famous museums The Dali Museum, the Florida International Museum and St. Petersburg's famous Pier as within a 10 minute drive.

If you are a cyclist, the Pinellas trail starts in Gulfport and travels all the way to Clearwater. If you are a birder, Clam Bayou Nature preserve is in Gulfport.

If you want to catch your dinner, we have a wonderful fishing pier. There is also live Theater at the Catherine Hickman Theater and dancing of all types at the Gulfport Casino.
