Timberpine Lodge Bed & Breakfast
Timberpine Lodge is a unique Bed & Breakfast.
The home was built in 2002 by the innkeepers and their sons. It is an authentic timber frame structure (held together only by wooden pegs).
Many of the accessories were acquired by the owners on their many trips to the Rocky Mountains.
Our Pinecone Suite offers a whirlpool tub, fireplace and private balcony.
The Wildflower room is a cozy room with a private bath.
Bird watching is one of the favourite pastimes of our guests. Our feeders attract numerous species of birds native to rural Iowa. Outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, golfing, and biking are available nearby. We offer campfires including the hotdogs and marshmallows upon request.
Guests come to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, and wedding nights or to just relax and unwind. Let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion and we will provide the wine or champagne in your room.
All seasons of the year are beautiful. Snow in winter, spring flowers, star filled summer nights, and spectacular fall colors are just some of the sights to enjoy.
Des Moines, the capitol of Iowa, is only a few minutes away with Living History Farms, The Blank Park Zoo, The Des Moines Art Center and the Iowa Cubs Baseball Team to name a few a the many places to visit. Jordan Creek Town Center boasts the areas largest shopping mall, theatres, many restaurants and a walking path.
The Covered Bridges of Madison county are just 30 minutes south. Walk the square in Winterset and visit the quaint shops that surround it. We invite you to come and enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful Lodge. Let yourself relax as you enjoy the wonder of nature.
