The Grice-Fearing House Bed and Breakfast is a charming, historic home located in picturesque Elizabeth City, NC, just five blocks from the Pasquotank River waterfront.

It is the City's only all two-room suite bed and breakfast, and additionally features Jacuzzis in both suites.

The house is the oldest house in Elizabeth City, ca 1798, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house has been lovingly updated with the luxuries of the 21st century. Guests have their choice of two elegant and well-appointed suites, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed. Both suites have quality beds with firm mattresses, color-coordinated linens and decorative accents, and fresh flowers.

Each suite has its own spacious cermaic-tiled bathroom, containing a Jacuzzi tub and shower. Each suite also has its own adjoining sitting room, with a loveseat, chair, TV, DVD and wireless internet. Amenities in each room include a ceiling fan, radio/CD player, bedside reading lamps, luxury linens, thick fluffy towels and bathrobes, premium toiletries and hairdryers.

A full gourmet breakfast is served either in the elegant formal dining room, or weather permitting, on the brick patio. Consisting of a hot entree, fruit course, and accompanying homemade side dishes, breakfast is served with china, crystal, and silver.

Signature dishes include eggs Benedict, a baked orange croissant dish, mini chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes, a Mexican breakfast made with fresh tortillas, and seasonal fruit smoothies. Guests may enjoy a cup of freshly ground and brewed coffee or a selection of teas in their suites or on the balcony just outside their suites.
