The Flanagan House is the premiere bed and breakfast in Hertford County. We pride ourselves in providing accommodations for travelers who need that little extra special touch. We try to maintain a scent free home and ask that guests do not use any harsh scented products during their stay. Please limit use of perfumes/colognes, powders, or lotions during your stay here! We also tailor breakfast to our guests dietary needs, allergies, or good old fashion dislikes.

We have FOUR bedrooms with their own private bathrooms, TV with Dish network, and WiFi. Our rooms have queen sized beds and three of them have daybeds if you are traveling with your teenager to visit Chowan University.

Our house is on Main St and within walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. We are also within a two block walk to Chowan University making it the ideal location when visiting your student during the school year or coming in to watch one of the many sporting events or entertainment events they offer. We are also within walking distance to The Brady C. Jefcoat Museum and Murfreesboro Historical District.

Come stay with us during the NC Watermelon Festival, Murfreesboro Historical Candle Light Christmas, or the famous Historic Haunt put on by none other than The Flanagan Family and our troop of Ghouls and Goblins.

Looking for outdoor activities? You have access to the beautiful tennis courts at Chowan University, Golf at one of several local courses, or bring your boat for fishing the day away on the Meherrin River.

We are also a short drive from The Dismal Swamp and Merchants Millpond or Sylvan Bird Park.
