Red Cardinal Bed & Breakfast
The Red Cardinal Bed & Breakfast sits among the farmlands and mountains in South Middleton Township. We are located on a quiet country road, near the center of Carlisle and Boiling Springs.
We are easily accessible from I-81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
As you approach our home, you will see a charming house with an inviting front porch and red shutters. When you step inside you will be greeted with old-fashioned hospitality.
There are 'nooks and crannies' in this 1850's house, and artwork by family and friends adorns the walls.
When you stay at the Red Cardinal Bed & Breakfast, there are so many ways to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You can unwind with a good book on the patio, sit by the stream and enjoy a refreshing breeze, or meander along Lerew Road and enjoy nature at its best.
If you are not the sit at home type, there are numerous attractions in the area to visit. We have an assortment of books, brochures and literature to help plan a wonderful day. And of course, we would be more than happy to help with the plans.
You can attend a Car Show at the Carlisle Fairgrounds every other weekend during the summer.
If you are a hiking enthusiast, the Appalachian Trail crosses the area about 3 miles from our front door.
If you like fly-fishing, the Yellow Breeches Creek, an nationally recognized trout stream, is a short walk out the front door.
There are numerous bike trails through the countryside for a visitor to enjoy.
If you like to ride a motorcycle, and attend the bike shows, we are centrally lcoated to Carlisle, York and Gettysburg.
If you like the arts, there is the wonderful Allenberry Theatre in Boiling Springs, the Carlisle Theater in downtown Carlisle, the Majestic Theatre in Gettysburg and the Luhrs Performing Arts Center in Shippensburg. In addition, there are numerouse outdoor concerts in the summertime.
If you are visiting the area colleges, there is the Dickinson School of Law, Dickinson College, and Messiah College.
For our visitors, we offer two bright and sunny guestrooms each with a private shower. Each room has air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and cable TV.
Our B&B has wireless internet service throughout out the house.
The price of each room includes a full country breakfast. The breakfast starts out with a hot cup of coffee or tea, juice and a fruit cup. The main course consists of a hot dish, muffins and pastry.
Breakfast is served in our quaint dining room or on the outdoor patio.
