Gelinas Manor Victorian Bed & Breakfast
Located on Front Street by the Lake in Boiling Springs is this circa 1869 Victorian Home, which is one of the first homes in Boiling Springs.
The village is laced with history dating back to the 1700's. The iron industry was the main reason for its growth.
The Carlisle Iron Works, one of the earliest blast furnaces in Pennsylvania was located near the springs. The remains of the original blast furnace still stands in the public park.
The village has many handsome homes, some fronting on the lake.
In 1984, Boiling Springs was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The area is alive with activities. The lake and the crystal clear Yellow Breeches creek are well stocked and are considered some of the best trout fishing areas in the country.
The nearby Yellow Breeches Fly Shop handles fishing gear, locally tied flys, clothing and gifts as well as dispensing experienced tips for the novice or practiced fisherman.
The famous Allenberry Resort and Playhouse'on the Yellow Breeches' is just minutes away for an evening of fine dining and entertainmen.
Boiling Springs is located within one-half hour's drive to Gettysburg, one hour's drive to Hershey, and approximately 11/2 hours from the Pennsylvania Dutch Country in Lancaster County.
It is truly a beautiful spot for a pleasant visit. The ducks are famous for nesting in local yards and marching their hatch to the lake in the Spring. Caution 'Duck Crossing' signs are posted throughout the village.
Visit us and enjoy the quiet historic village by the lake.
