Hickory Ridge House is a gracious federal style farmhouse completed in 1808 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Theophilus Crawford House. For over a century Hickory Ridge House was the home of the Crawford family, it has been an inn since the early 1980's.
This beautiful example of American architecture boasts eight spacious guest rooms, all with private bathrooms and each with the elegance and charm of a bygone era.
Awake each morning to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, muffins baking in the kitchen, sizzling local bacon and omlets made with eggs from our neighbor's free range chickens. We use produce from our own garden and from local organic farms when ever possible.
All of our rooms are furnished with either queen or king size beds, complete with fine linens and environmentally concious toiletries. Every room has cable TV and a DVD player; the inn's library is stocked with a diverse selection of movies and hundreds of books for guests to borrow. We have free Wifi throughout the inn, and for those guests who do not travel with a laptop, a guest computer with printer/copier. In case you get the munchies we provide 24/7 tea, coffee and snacks, as well as several guest refrigerators stocked with plain and sparkling water.
Surrounded by peaceful gardens in the spring and summer, numerous hiking trails and even a fresh water swimming hole. There is breathtaking foliage in the fall and a network of groomed cross-country ski trails in the winter; Hickory Ridge House offers the perfect escape from today's hectic lifestyle.
