Our rooms offer the best of both worlds, the peace and quiet of a country setting yet only 7 miles East of Exit 98 on I-95, Kings Dominion and The Meadow Event Park.

We are an easy 20 mile commute to Richmond and the Richmond International Raceway for NASCAR fans, 64 miles to Williamsburg for history enthusiasts and 90 miles to Washington DC.

Spend your time relaxing or visit some of Virginia's many things to see and do. From Segway Tours, hot air balloon rides, botanical gardens, historic battlefields, landmarks and plantations, antique shops, wineries, museums, restaurants and shopping malls, we can offer suggestions for things to do and see in the area and have plenty of literature in the room for more suggestions.

Our bedrooms have comfortable extended length King-size beds (great for guests who are over 6’ tall), private bathroom, internet, satellite TV and fireplace.

Enjoy complimentary snacks of Virginia made chocolates and Virginia grown peanuts in each bedroom.

There is a beautiful front porch with wicker bistro tables where you can enjoy breakfast, a glass of wine or cup of coffee or iced tea. The back deck overlooks a wooded back-yard, flowerbeds and back yard fire pit where we frequently gather to enjoy a quiet evening around the fire and gazing at the moon and stars.

If you just want to do nothing, the hammock under the mature shade trees will be your favorite relaxing spot. Wildlife such as hummingbirds, cardinals and bluebirds, deer, wild turkeys and bald eagles are often seen.

Breakfast is included with our own free range chicken eggs, Virginia country sausage and fresh baked goods. Guests are welcome to join us for a family style dinner for an additional charge.

We welcome guests for both long and short stays. Shady Acres Bed and Breakfast is a non-smoking Bed and Breakfast. RV accessible and ample off-street parking is available. No public transportation.
