Y Garreg Wen is a small Family Run B&B

Y Garreg Wen translated means the white rock, our home is Victorian and has many original features throughout.

We have en-suite facilities, also a luxury bathroom with freestanding roll top bath, separate power shower cubicle.

Breakfast is served in our lovely dinning room and a full choice of breakfast menu is offered to suit all tastes. All our rooms are of a very high standard with many extras.

Our main aim is that we provide comfortable, relaxing, accommodation so that our guests feel welcome in our home here in this lovely part of Wales.

Locally there are many interesting places to visit, there is a Gold mine, museums, welsh coracle centre, fishing, steam railways, canoeing, feeding centre where you'll see the wonderful Red Kite, a wealth of wild life and nature reserves. You can take a boat trip at nearby New Quay and go Dolphin spotting. We hope this is just a glimpse of what there is to offer in this wonderful part of Wales.

The university town of Lampeter is just 5 miles away. Here you will find a variety of shops and places to eat including award winning Indian restaurant. The larger market town of Carmarthen is half ours drive away, here you will find with a large selection of shops and an indoor market where you can find many local products being sold.

There is a train station with links to south wiles and London services. The nearest airport is Cardiff international airport 75 miles approx. locally there is a frequent bus service, which runs from Carmarthen stopping near our house and continues along the coast road to Aberystwyth. We can offer a taxi service for late or early pick ups from Carmarthen or Lampeter.
