Hafan Deg is a 4* B&B graded by Visitwales. Spacious guest rooms have super- kingsize or twin beds, TV with Freeview & DVD, wifi, hairdryer & coffee/tea facilities. The ground floor family suite consists of a double/twin room, a single room with space for additional child's folding bed, & a bathroom with bath & shower.

Doors lead out to the suite's own private garden. Also on the ground floor is a double/twin room with views over the Clwydian Hills & with ensuite shower room. Upstairs is a double/twin room with private shower room. Guests can relax in the gallery library & have breakfast in the slate-floored dining room with full height window & open-beamed ceiling.

There is wide choice of breakfast including fresh fruit, home made yoghurt, bread, preserves, salmon fish cakes & kedgeree, traditional breakfast & free range eggs from 100 yards up the road. Guests can enjoy the large front garden with plenty of seating & fantastic views over the valley to the Iron-age hillfort, Moel Fenlli.

Hafan Deg, in the hamlet of Maeshafn, is in the heart of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an International Category 5 landscape, one of the finest landscapes in the world.

Offa's Dyke Footpath is close by & there are many walking & cycling trails in the area. Offer's Dyke walkers can be collected & returned to the trail & luggage can be taken to their next stop. Packed lunches are provided by prior arrangement.

Llandegla's cycling centre, One Planet Adventure, is a 20 minute drive away.
The whole of North Wales is accessible for trips out - castles, including Conwy & Caernarfon, slate & copper mines, Llandudno seaside resort, Llangollen with its river, canal & International Eisteddfod. The Roman city of Chester is a half hour drive away. Nearby Mold has a thriving market on Wednesdays & Saturdays & is home to the Anthony Hopkins Theatre Clwyd.

Only a mile from Hafan Deg is Loggerheads Country Park where there are easy riverside walks & Caffi Florence with delicious home-made food made with locally sourced products. In Maeshafn itself is a traditional village inn, the Miners Arms, with good food & a friendly welcome.
