Fron Haul

Aberdovey (Aberdyfi) is a thriving little harbour resort set within the Snowdonia National Park, where the river Dovey meets the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Aberdyfi is the Welsh spelling of the village name and Aberdovey is the olde English version.

This small seaside village nestles on the north side of the Dyfi/Dovey estuary and is a popular destination for visitors from all over the world.

Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn. The championship links golf course lies to the landward side of the dunes. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers, kiters and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

You don't need to travel too far from Aberdovey to find a different world - that of spectacular mountain and valley scenery. The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complimented by the charm of the Dovey and Dysynni valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers.

Aberdovey's climate is surprisingly mild due to the surrounding horseshoe of mountains. Clothing boutiques, galleries and gift shops line the streets, together with good restaurants, pubs and cafes. Whether you enjoy walking, golf, cycling, visiting attractions or ancient monuments Aberdovey and the surrounding area have something for everyone.

Our bedrooms, refurbished in 2007, offer the following facilities:

All bed linen and towels are provided and the rooms are serviced every day.

Check-in time is from 3.00pm, check-out is 10.00am.

Children are most welcome although we would require some notice for arrangements.

Fron Haul's accommodation is all non-smoking.

Payment is accepted by cash or personal cheque with guarantee card.

A deposit of one night's stay is required to guarantee a booking.
