Albany Guesthouse
Stephen and Christine would like to welcome you to Albany Guesthouse. We run it as a husband and wife team with a cocker spaniel named Chloe.
We have been running it for about four years. We are a small family run guesthouse about 2 miles from Newport city centre and the M4 motorway.
We are a short train journey to Cardiff and all its major attractions such as the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Bay.
We are 1 mile from Celtic Manor Golf resort, which hosts the Ryder Cup in 2010.
We have panoramic views of Newport transporter bridge from some of our rooms. This is still working and has celebrated its 100th birthday.
We are a short car journey to the beautiful Wye valley, which is a place of breathtaking scenery with space to do your own thing, whatever that is. At whatever pace you choose. Take a gentle stroll along the footpaths and simply enjoy the views. It is a walkers paradise with lots to see and do even if you are not feeling particularly energetic.
You could enjoy a leisurely lunch at nearby Monmouth, packed full of fascinating history or visit Caerleon that is only 5 miles away. This is an old Roman town with an amphitheatre and fort.
Car parking is available. All rooms have showers, tea making facilities, hairdryer, radio alarms and televisions. Some rooms are en suite. Free Wi Fi Internet access is available.
We welcome well-behaved pets. We have a disability statement which can be accessed on our website.
We have been rated 3 stars by the Welsh Tourist Board and have achieved the Green Dragon Environmental Standard Award for the second year running.
We always try to give a good personal service to improve your stay.
