The house is within very easy walking distance of the railway station and the town centre but is quietly situated on a lane with no through traffic and off road parking. There are many country pursuits in the immediate area including game and clay shooting, fly and coarse fishing, riding, biking, walking on the cross Wales trek, the Severn way, Offas Dyke path and the beautiful Montgomery canal. Powys Castle and its world-renowned gardens are nearby and the Gregynog Centre which hosts arts events and live music festivals is even closer.

The Welshpool an LLanfair light steam railway offers journeys of outstanding beauty and train driving courses can be arranged.
