Gwernyfed B&B offers two very comfortable double rooms, one en-suite that can be converted into a twin room if required - bathroom includes bath and power shower, the other double has a separate bathroom with bath and shower attachment.
We welcome dogs but also have a cat so would need to be warned if your pet is not cat friendly. We have direct access through our private 16 acre woods to the foothills of The Black Mountains, we cater for vegetarians and can arrange packed lunches, we also provide all local activity information and use only local produce in our delicious cooked breakfasts.
We also have our own private tennis court which is free to use (we can provide equipment) and tennis lessons from a local qualified coach if wanted, free WiFi is also included. We are 2 miles from the Tregoyd Riding centre and the local PGL, we are in walking distance from The Three Horseshoes public house in Felindre who make homemade pies and offer a fine selection of local Real Ales.
If you would like to Canoe down the river Wye we are located in easy distance from Wye Valley Canoes and The River Cafe in Glasbury, and if book finding is your thing then we are ideally placed for you to explore the historic book town of Hay-On-Wye. We are also on the local bike trail and will provide contacts for all local activities which include mountain pony rides, mountain biking, canoeing, tennis, local walks and fine eateries and good pubs there are also local castles and breathtaking caves with Europe's biggest dinosaur park which is great for the kids.
A new local cinema in Hay-On-Wye show all the current releases so there is plenty to keep you occupied or if you just want to take it easy you can relax in our beautiful garden conservatory and read a good book!
