One of the most fashionable places in the area, rural Cowbridge is full of sophisticated boutique shops and plays host to a fantastic food and drink festival each autumn.

If you like to shop in style then you'll love Cowbridge. The town is often referred to as the Bond Street of Wales and has numerous unique, family-owned shops selling upmarket clothes for both ladies and gentlemen as well as jewellery, leather goods, shoes, antiques and craft

The town has a wealth of history dating back to Roman times, while the South Gate on Town Mill Road shows the only surviving gateway of the original walled town. It is an extremely rare example of medieval town gates in Glamorgan and dates from the early 14th century.
