Hotel Mandarina
Hotel Mandarina is a small boutique hotel. It has a history in Manuel Antonio since the early 1990's. It has previously been known as Hotel El Dorado Mojado and Hotel Kekoldi. Under new ownership since May 1st, 2007, the 12 unit hotel has been given the new name, Hotel Mandarina.
Mandarina is known as a small orange, like a tangerine, in Costa Rica.
The hotel rooms are set back off the road, away from the noise. Nestled against the lush jungle backdrop, the rooms surround a blue-tiled pool that has a small decorative waterfall. It is a very private place to relax and watch the small monkeys swinging through the overhead canopy.
You can walk down to a secluded beach in 20 minutes or you can take a quick 5-minute drive over to the main beach.
Several excellent restaurants and cafes are within walking distance as well.
Manuel Antonio is a very well known tourists destination . The flora and fauna and the beauty of the beaches is a magnet for those looking to explore the rainforest and relax in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Many tours companies are available to take you in the most fun and thrill seeking adventures, such as canopy zip line, canyoning, ATV tours, Catamaran, kayaking, white water rafting, horse back riding and much more.
Due to the new highway the drive from the main international airport is only 3 hours away. Also it is not easier and more accessible to visit the Pacific south where the Ballena National Park is located near the town of Uvita.
Also only one hour north, you can visit the Carara National Park that shelters the most exotic birds.
