At Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Our breakfasts are all made with farm fresh eggs, locally made bread or tortillas (the tradition in Nicaragua), local bacon when available, fresh ripened on the tree fruit, and organic sesame oil brought in from a co-op in Achuapa, Leon. Our cook will prepare eggs to your taste and the coffee is Nicaraguan produced coffee. We believe in keeping it local and helping the local economy. Posada la Gordita is a traditional Bed and Breakfast house in the Colonial central district of Zaragoza Leon, Nicaragua. Posada la Gordita is a grand 6 bedroom home located near all the best places in Leon. It offers very clean and spacious private rooms with private and/or shared bathrooms and breakfast is included!! We offer nightly and weekly rates.

Pricing includes breakfast Monday – Saturday and Brunch on Sundays.

Pricing for rooms with private bath 1 bed:
1 person: $30 per night
2 people: $37 per night

Pricing for room with 2 beds with private bath:
2 people: $40 per night
3 people: $47 per night
4 people: $54 per night

Pricing for room with shared bath 1 bed:

All linens and towels are provided and housekeeping cleans the whole house twice a day to create a very homelike experience for our tired travelers. The house has a casual home-like atmosphere with a formal dining room, living room and outside porch. We offer the use of the fridge for your water, ice and purchases from the market. There is coffee available all day and WIFI free of charge.

Our house is around the corner from La Olla Quemada, 3 blocks from the main Cathedral in the center and La Union (the most chic supermarket in town) 1.5 blocks from Salman (our local grocery store), within a 4 block radius there are over 20 restaurants and bars, lunch places, shopping, some of the best dessert and coffee places and the biggest ice cream shop in town. There is also an artisan market within 3 blocks, Leon’s biggest fruit stand is within walking distance and offers the best local, freshest and ready to eat fruit.

If you are looking for an intimate place, close to everything, with a quiet home-like atmosphere this is the place!
