You can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome at Longmead, a beautiful Victorian house with a picturesque garden and ample car parking which is quietly situated in a perfect location towards the spectacular 'Valley of Rocks' and dramatic coast path, yet only a few minutes walk from the village centre with its cliff railway, restaurants and pubs.

We are confident that you will enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the setting which complements our private hotel, a non smoking residence with eight comfortable and attractively decorated bedrooms, each with its own charming character but all equipped to the highest standards including en-suite facilities.

For your relaxation, the comfortably furnished lounge is supported by a fully licensed, well stocked bar, and the centrepiece of our oak panelled dining room is a magnificent carved Victorian fireplace.

We aim to make your stay at Longmead a memorable one in every way and with this in mind, pride ourselves on old fashioned hospitality and encourage a friendly, relaxed & informal atmosphere. We are always on hand to help you make the most of your holiday, to put you at ease and ensure your comfort by providing thoughtful extras.

Breakfast is of the traditional Exmoor variety: we endeavour to offer the best standards of service and presentation to ensure that our guests start the day in time honoured fashion. A wide choice of fresh and plentiful local and seasonal produce appears on our menu, including fruits from our walled garden and homemade preserves.

Whilst we cater for all appetites and diets, please feel free to bring along any particular favourites with you. Packed lunches and picnic hampers are available by arrangement, and a social highlight in summer months is our weekly barbeque night. If your stay at longmead celebrates an anniversary or birthday, please let us know so that we can contribute to your special occasion.
