Dartmoor Bed & Breakfast
Easton Court is situated inside the boundaries of the Dartmoor National Park and offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation. Just one mile outside the delightful village of Chagford, it sits in 4 acres of gardens close to the Teign Valley gorge and Castle Drogo, two of Dartmoor's finest attractions.
It is very hard for a small business to gain recognition in the market place, especially if you haven't paid for it! That said, Easton Court has secured a number of recommendations in recent times that we would like to share with you.
Press Coverage
* The Observer on Sunday, Autumn 2005, ran an article entitled 'Top Fifty For Under Fifty'. This presented survey results of accommodation providers within the British Isles charging less than £50 per person per night. Easton Court was one of only twenty listed charging between £30 and £40 per person per night - not bad when you consider the thousands of others that could have been chosen!
* The Daily Mail, August 2006, featured Easton Court in their 'An Inspector Calls' hotel review. We received a phone call one Friday afternoon informing us that we were included the next day following an anonymous visit from their 'inspector'. Known for their harsh assessments, we were delighted with their comments.
Guide Book Listings
Easton Court is awarded inclusion annually in the following hotel guides:
* The Good Hotel Guide
* Michelin Guide
* The Which Hotel Guide
* Frommers
* Fodors
* Le Routarde
.. and these are just the ones we know about!
Quality Assurance Schemes
We think it is important for our guests to know that we conform with quality standards set by possibly the premier travel organization in the UK - The AA. The results of their assessment grade accommodation providers between one and five stars, with the top 10% within each star band being designated 'Highly Commended'.
We are delighted to be able to report that Easton Court achieved a 4-star Highly Commended rating for 2008.

We do accept well behaved dogs in one of our rooms on the ground floor. We ask that the dogs are never left on their own in the room at any time and are not allowed on the furniture. We also ask that they are not permitted to foul the gardens - we provide shovels to clear up any mishaps!
Dartmoor itself covers an area of 365 square miles of unspoilt countryside. It is an ideal place for walking / hiking, with plenty of public footpaths and bridleways to follow. Horse riders are well catered for, and fly fishers have a choice of the 4 main rivers that flow through the National Park. Pretty villages abound, and many of Dartmoor's features can be enjoyed within a few steps from convenient parking areas.
Within an hour's drive, you can reach the Devon and Cornwall coastlines, visit a number of attractions (for example: The Eden Project, Rosemoor RHS Gardens, Paignton Zoo etc.) or call into some of the many National Trust properties in the area - Castle Drogo is only 3 miles by car, or a 45 minute walk away for the more energetic.
