The Old Vineyard
The Old Vineyard is an individual, architect-designed house sitting in 1/3 of an acre of garden in the small village of Merton. It is off the main road and has extensive views over open farm/parkland. The house was built in 2006/7 of local stone, slate and wood and blends very sympathetically with the surrounding environment. The property incorporates several “green” features, including uprated insulation and heating via a ground-source heat pump.
We are conveniently sited for Exmoor, Dartmoor and the North Devon coast and beaches, with RHS Rosemoor and DWT Meeth Quarry close by.
Breakfast is served in our large conservatory and we are happy to cater to your tastes - from the traditional “full English” to a lighter alternative. Wherever possible we source our ingredients locally, including fresh produce from our own garden when in season.
We can offer secure storage for cycles/golf clubs/fishing tackle etc, and off-road parking. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss any particular requirements you may have. It is our aim to provide you with comfortable, relaxed accommodation during your stay.
Our double bedroom is en-suite, with a large airy conservatory for dining and relaxing.
Our tariff:
£45.00 pppn double occupancy
£50.00 pn single occupancy.
We are not able to take credit/debit cards, but cheques with guarantee card or cash are accepted
