North Hollacombe Farm
A comfortable farmhouse situated in a quiet valley over looking Dartmoor, on a large working farm. Good hearty breakfasts serve red with local and homemade produce.
Plenty of things to keep you busy in the area, local pubs with real ale and good food served. Visit Dartmoor, Exmoor, castle Drogo and grounds, Killerton house, Knightshayes court and gardens, Arlington court, north and south coast, Exeter with its historic buildings.
Torrington with its RHS garden and Darlington glass works, Exmouth has a la ronde the shell house, plenty of golf courses near by, horse riding can be arranged for you, canal boat rides at Tiverton.
Tiverton castle and museum and delightful shops. Finagle bridges has many good walks leading to Chagford, Morton Hampstead and Drogo castle. Chagford has interesting shops and eating houses, Morton Hampstead is the gate to Dartmoor.
Ilfracombe offers boat trips to Lundy Island daily, Barnstaple is an interesting town with a market and butchers row, Tavistock is another historic market town famous for goosie fair in October, it's cheese shop and lots of colourful market stalls, with lovely country walks around the town an on the moors.
Princetown is on the centre of Dartmoor and famous for is war time prison with a museum, drive across the moor and see all the sheep, cattle and horses roaming free, stop and have a walk or picnic out on the moor or by the streams that flow across the moor.
Totnes is another historic town a castle and lots of quirky shops, eateries, and boat trips can be taken down the river dart to Dartmouth where another town of interest can be found with the royal naval college is situated. There is so much to do in Devon it is well worth a visit.
