Quinta do Cabouco
Quinta do Cabouco, was built in the 18th century, restored and enlarged in the 2003, with care to maintain its old look. Lovingly decorated, its a feast to your eyes.
All bedrooms have a wonderful sea view and private bathrooms. Further facilities on the property include a large and beautiful living-room with fireplace and television, a common guest kitchen, which is annexed to a dinning-room and w.c, sunny verandas and the most awesome sunset vantage point.
Parking area is available as well as an organic garden certified by Ecocert-Portugal, where we grow vegetables and fruits like figs, anonas, guavas, tangerines, granadas, pitangas and avocados.
Our guests are allowed to pick them for their own consumption. Quinta do Cabouco is just in the middle of the sunny coast, which permits you being in mere 20 minutes weather you go to Funchal or Calheta beach. Access to every other part of the island is quick and easy due to the new tunnels.
Although being situated on a hill, in the countryside, it stays, however, close enough to modern amenities such as restaurants, pharmacies, shopping, police and the all important beaches.
In our main attractions we include Levada walks, along the mountains or through the Laurissilva Forest, classified by Unesco as being Heritage of Mankind Natural Reserve.
In terms of weather condition, Quinta do Cabouco is one of the sunniest and most pleasant places to live.
It's also a real home from home with all its particular attention to detail and comfort.
